For more than half a century, the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation has been at the heart of bringing better healthcare to northeast Oregon.
Founded in 1969, the Foundation began with a simple but powerful mission, to connect community generosity with the hospital’s most pressing needs. Over the years, that mission has guided us through countless projects, big and small, all with one goal: to ensure that world-class healthcare is available right here, close to home.
A History of Impact
From early fundraising efforts for hospital equipment and facility improvements, to recent multi-million-dollar capital campaigns, the GRH Foundation has always been a bridge between community support and medical progress.
To help lead the growth of Grande Ronde Hospital, we’ve:
- The construction of an on-site helipad, which now resides on top of the new surgical building.
- Supported the early establishment and expansion of telehealth services to bring specialty care closer to rural patients. GRH were early industry leaders in this field and set the template for rural hospitals to use this technology.
- The purchase of 3d Mammography machines which changed the ability and accuracy to detect breast cancers and anomalies, which saved lives right away.
These are not just upgrades — they are lifelines for the people we serve.
Looking Ahead: A Transformative Future
The next chapter in our story is already taking shape. The Foundation is funding the acquisition of a daVinci surgical assist robot a groundbreaking tool that allows our surgeons to perform complex procedures with enhanced precision, minimal invasiveness, and faster recovery times for patients.
